Bio-Meyer

This Bio-Meyer is made with Marina from Greasy Glass and Portland Gray from Glass Alchemy. Marina is an incredibly smooth transparent blue. It's a challenging color to work with due to the high copper content needed to achieve its vibrant blue tone, but the results are absolutely worth it.

I paired it with some OG Portland Gray that was made into tubing by spinning up 7mm rod into a blowout and sleeving it in clear. This process creates a subtle spiral effect across the surface, adding depth and movement to the piece. The combination of these two colors gives this Bio-Meyer a clean, classic look while allowing the function to be seen throughout.

The Bio-Meyer is my most complicated piece. It has over 100 different welds to assemble, multiple customized holders and jigs have to be used. There around 25-30hours on each piece. I only make these every few years due to the difficulty level. The pull on them is so different from most of my designs. There is zero delay on function and move water effortlessly.
